The Letter in the Attic project aims to collect 100 letters, diaries and other personal papers related to Brighton and Hove by the summer of 2008.

The British Postal Museum & Archive

The British Postal Museum & Archive (BPMA) website tells the story of how British postal services helped to shape the modern world and makes this human story of communication, industry, and innovation accessible to everyone.

 

Gertrude Bell (1868-1926), historian, socialite, traveler,  spy, diplomat and king-maker. A collection totaling 1,600 detailed and lively letters, 16 diaries, c.40 packets of miscellaneous items and 7000 photographs.

 

The Olive Schreiner Letters Project

 

The writings of the feminist and socialist writer and social theorist Olive Schreiner (1855-1920). One of the most important and radical social commentators of her day.

The Bevan Family Letters website is a micro-site of The Regency Town House website. The Town House is a grade 1 Listed terraced home of the mid-1820s being developed as a heritage centre and museum to focus on the architecture and social history of Brighton & Hove between the 1780s and 1840s.
