New section to RTH website

This Bevan section of The Regency Town House website was launched in February 2009.

At present it offers 40 documents produced between the 1820s and 1870s and a brief insight into the circumstances of the two main family groups who produced these records during the 19th century. In the coming months we will add more detailed histories about the Bevan and Dewar families and extend the contents of the Explore section of the website. We welcome readers contributions to this site, see the About The Project section for details.

The Bevan Family Letters website is a micro-site of The Regency Town House website. The Town House is a grade 1 Listed terraced home of the mid-1820s being developed as a heritage centre and museum to focus on the architecture and social history of Brighton & Hove between the 1780s and 1840s. For further information about the Town House project see http://www.rth.org.uk.
